This Survey Monument is located in the middle of a remote horseback riding / hiking trail in the "Port Charlotte" section of Fountainhead Regional Park. The marker is, at minimum, a 1.5 mile hike. There are no bicycles or motorized vehicles allowed on these trails in this part of the park.

On foot or horseback only — Near the main park entrance at Hampton Road, enter the Blue Horse Trail (marked with blue horse shoes) and travel S/SE from the trailhead.

Then, hike South on the "Port Charlotte" access road (It clearly looks like a road — as opposed to a trail) until you've reached the third field/clearing. From there, there are 2 trail choices: 1 trail heads roughly SE and one trail heads roughly S/SW.

Take the S/SW trail and the Survey Marker is in the middle of the trail approximately 125 yards from the treeline of the clearing.
