L'église a été bâtie entre 1956 et 1957 par la paroisse Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague, selon les plans de l’architecte Emmanuel-Arthur Doucet.
En 2007, la paroisse a été abolie et toutes ses archives ont été transférées à la paroisse de l'Immaculée Conception. La même année, la communauté coréenne a acquis l'église pour y héberger Montreal Sarang Presbyterian Church.
Selon les statistiques, il y a environ 9000 personnes d'origine coréenne au Québec. Il s'agit d'une immigration récente qui s’est accentuée à partir des années 1990.
À Montréal, la communauté coréenne compte plusieurs organisations, notamment une église catholique, une dizaine d’églises protestantes, un centre communautaire et trois écoles de langue coréenne.
Le Plateau-Mont-Royal, ou le Plateau, est un arrondissement et un quartier résidentiel central de la ville de Montréal au Québec (Canada). Il est situé sur le versant est du Mont Royal sur un plateau surplombant le centre-ville de Montréal délimité par la rue Sherbrooke. Il est bordé par les arrondissements Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie au nord, Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve à l'est, Ville-Marie au sud, et Outremont à l'ouest. On y comptait 104 000 habitants en 2016 répartis dans 8,1 km2.

This Korean Presbyterian church is located on the Mercure terrace in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough in Montreal, Quebec.
The church was built between 1956 and 1957 by the parish of Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague, according to the plans of the architect Emmanuel-Arthur Doucet.
In 2007, the parish was abolished and all of its archives were transferred to the parish of the Immaculate Conception. The same year, the Korean community acquired the church to house Montreal Sarang Presbyterian Church.
According to statistics, there are approximately 9,000 people of Korean origin in Quebec. This is a recent immigration that has increased since the 1990s.
In Montreal, the Korean community has several organizations, including a Catholic church, a dozen Protestant churches, a community center, and three Korean-language schools.
