FRIENDS MEETING HOUSE
Erected in 1868 was the principle Quaker Meeting
House in Leeds. In 1921 it became Albrecht &
Albrecht's clothing factory, the Quaker meetings
removing to the schoolroom blook to the rear,
where worship continued until 1979. From
1933 to 2014 it was the BBC Studios.

Currently the building is owned by Leeds University. It is called Old Broadcasting House and used by the New Technology Institute for coworking space and specialist digital training facilities. Leeds university has erected a number of new buildings around it known collectively as Broadcasting Place. These buildings house student accommodation and the School of Cultural Studies and Humanities.
