The carving field at Ll. Strandbygård is the largest in South Bornholm. On a flat rock that rises slightly above the surrounding field surface, there are at least 15 wheelcrosses, several of which are only very slightly carved. 2 of the largest wheel crosses have a double ring and horn-like protrusions. Around the wheel crosses are seen a foot sole and 92 cupmarks, 4 of which are joined in a cross-like figure. Several layers of indentations may be hidden, the most obvious of which may have constituted an overall motif. Several of the spokes of the wheel cross are oriented E-W. Others are oriented to the sun's rise and fall midsummer. The rock carvings at Ll. Strandbygård was found in 1878 and preserved in 1891.

Several rock carvings are known from the area with cupmarks, and together with a large density of burial mounds it indicates a rich Bronze Age settlement (1700-500 BCE). Unfortunately, many of the carvings and burial mounds were removed in the late 1800s.

The Wheel Cross was used in the older Bronze Age in the year 1,700 BC. eventually in the Bronze Age in 500 BC. The motif is found on many bronze objects dating from tombs. In the older Bronze Age, the people of the North got the bronze from Czechoslovakia and the countries down to the Black Sea. In these southern areas the wheel cross was widely used and it is probably from there that the motif reaches to the North along with the bronze objects.
