EN The Aubagne to La Barque line is an old French normal-gauge railway line in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, which has now been partially removed. It linked Aubagne, on the Marseille line to Toulon, La Barque, on the Carnoules Line to Gardanne, it served the Fuveau - Valdonne (lignite production) mining basin, east of Marseille, giving it a double outlet: to the north the industrial site of Gardanne and to the south the factories of Marseille in the Huveaune valley.

It constitutes line 948 0001 of the national rail network

This section was put into service on January 27, 1868.

On the eve of the Second World War, the passenger service consisted of 4 daily round trips, but the competition from the coaches made the connection unprofitable, and it was abolished on April 18, 1939. A shuttle bus for minors was however re-established in 1945 between Aubagne and Cadolive

The infrastructure of the remaining line section between Aubagne and Valdonne remains the property of RFF. The Pays d'Aubagne et de l'Étoile agglomeration community is studying the possibility of reopening it to Bouilladisse, or 14 kilometers, to run a single-track tram there

On the station platform, you can still see the station clock. It is completely out of service but strangely, many people send their hand into the location of the mechanism. Could it be because of GC7WCCV? Yes, because I too have sent my hand to sign the found it!

Just in front of the Bouilladisse station, this tree, tired of waiting for a train, began to devour one of the rails that had become useless.
