This Compass Rose is the base of the New Lewis and Clark Memorial Statue located here in this quaint little park in Kansas City Missouri.
The only directional indicators is Lewis' Compass that he is holding in his hand.
Up on a 200-foot-high bluff that overlooks the confluence of the Kansas River and Missouri River and the West Bottoms below. It is located on the west side of downtown, between Broadway and I-35 to the east and west, and between 7th Street and 14th Street to the north and south.
It is also under the newly Listed Google Earth

It is 30 feet wide on the base and the whole area is a Compass Rose as well.
It is over 200 feet wide.
As noted in the Lewis and Clark journals it affords a commanding view of the Rivers below and a key point for a Fort.
