This Little Free Library is dedicated to the memory of Alma Lou Nelson Hill, by her daughter-in-law and son, Janice and Michael Nelson Hill. It's difficult to explore Gainesville and Cooke County without encountering the name "Nelson", and Mrs. Hill was a descendant of that family who settled in the Woodbine area in the 1860s. The Nelson Grove Cemetery is a historic cemetery in that area, and Mrs. Hill is buried there with her family. She was an educator, ultimately a "Master Teacher", and was also active with the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Appropriately enough, the Little Free Library is a little red schoolhouse with white trim and a white shingled roof. The only actual window is on the door, but there are white trimmed squares on the three other sides, suggesting windows. Of course, the schoolhouse wouldn't be complete without a bell, and here, there's a little red bell tower with a bell housing which doesn't ring, unfortunately.
