If driving from Houston to Katy, take the Exit #739 and follow the I-10 Access Rd.to Buc-ee's Blvd and turn right. Then turn into the Buc-ee's Travel Center property. As you turn into the property, the Buc-ee's Car Wash is right in front of you!! Longs bays of vacuums and car cleaning tools are beside the car wash building. There is a large 4-car wide entrance to pass through to get into the actual car wash. This is where you select the kind of wash cycle you want and pay for it. Then, you are channeled into a single line to get set up to be transported though the car wash's many mechanical stations that spray, soap, brush, wax, and dry your car before exiting 255 feet from where you entered. This Katy Buc-ee's Car Wash was designated on Nov 16, 2017 as a Guinness World Record for the longest car wash.
The Buc-ee's chain of stores has a winning combination of food and drink, snack items, clothes items and assorted nic-nacks on sale. But, besides the fun-loving big beaver greeter near the entrances, the very clean and well attended bathrooms and the plethora of gasoline pumps outside the stores seem a winning combination for this successful convenience store.
