This "You Are Here" sign and map location is where the WestSide Regional Trail meets SW Merlo Road next to the Max transit station in Beaverton, Oregon. This location is actually inside the Tualatin Hills Nature Park. The Coordinates are set at the trail sign. This park and most Beaverton parks are open every day from dawn to dusk.

A recently developed Westside Trail segment on Mt. Williams has yielded a six-mile segment of mostly continuous trail from Tigard city limits to the Tualatin Hills Nature Park. The 1992 Metropolitan Greenspaces Master Plan identified an opportunity to create a regional trail on Portland's west side -- initially called the Beaverton Powerline Trail -- along Washington County's electrical power utility corridors. Today, this route is the Westside Trail.

THPRD completed construction on the Westside Regional Trail in November 2013. The long-awaited six miles of trail that connects the southern portion of the district to the Merlo Rd Max station in Beaverton provides a paved stretch of trail for the community to walk, cycle and run. The three completed sections offer users alternate, safer routes for active transportation while enjoying sweeping views of the surrounding landscape.
