Apache Junction is located at the intersection of Apache Trail and the Old West Highway. It became a historical landmark and scenic byway in 1922. AJ is bounded by Federal Wilderness and has a ghost town as a suburb, Goldfield. This sign sits on the northern side of Hwy 88 and is most easily seen headed into Apache Junction - between Goldfield Ghost Town and Apache Junction, just south of the Lost Dutchman Museum.
