Located in the Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park is the Big Cypress Bend. The Big Cypress Bend was designated a National Natural Landmark on October 1966. The largest grove of native/wild Royal Palm trees in the country is located here.

The 1.2 mile roundtrip boardwalk takes you through an old growth cypress swamp and ends at a large alligator pond. Viewing areas are along the boardwalk with informational signage.

Bring water for drinking and bug spray.
Approximate boardwalk length (feet): 3000 feet
