Die St. Laurentius-Kirche hat sich aus der Burgkapelle der im 12. Jahrhundert errichteten Burg der Reichsministerialen von Gründlach entwickelt. Vermutlich in der Mitte des 13. Jahrhunderts wurde die Kapelle zur Dorfkirche vergößert.
Die Sonnenuhr am Kirchturm kann eine Zeit zwischen 8 Uhr morgens und 5 Uhr nachmittags anzeigen.
Wie man auf dem Foto erkennt gibt es eine Abweichung von minus 20 Minuten im Vergleich zur zur mechanischen Turmuhr.

The St. Laurentius Church developed from the chapel of the castle of the Reichsministerialen von Gründlach, which was built in the 12th century. The chapel was probably enlarged to the village church in the middle of the 13th century.
The sundial on the church tower can show a time between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
As you can see in the photo there is a deviation of minus 20 minutes compared to the mechanical tower clock.
