On a site that once was home to a greenhouse operation, all that remains is the chimney. Although serving to anchor the new park to its former land-use, the chimney was not spared for aesthetic reasons but for the purpose of wildlife conservation. The chimney was being used by a group of chimney swifts, an aerial insectivore bird which has seen a large decline in population over recent years.
