Mrs. I. Williams died while traveling in 1884 and was buried off to the side of a road near Necessity in rural Stephens County, but after the road was expanded, her final resting place is now in the center of the road.

Today, this is Rosenquest Rd, and the grave is just a hair east of where FM 207 and FM 576 intersect. If you turn around 180 degrees, you're looking west at FM 576, and if you continue east along Rosenquest Rd, you'll reach the Bradshaw Cemetery. The locals apparently refer to this as the "Grave in the Road", not to be confused with a more famous such burial down in Hearne. The site does appear to be maintained, and is surprisingly free of the garbage that blows around the old roads.

Mrs. Williams's Findagrave page (see below) notes that she fell ill and died while traveling through the area in 1884, and was buried right by the side of the road. A concrete grave cover was put over her final resting place in 1933 when the road was expanded, which had the unfortunate side effect of placing her burial site in the center of the road. A modern gray, granite headstone was placed in 1989, and the inscription reads:
