This is a maritime monument called 'Marine-Ehrenmal'. It is located in Laboe, Germany, Schleswig-Holstein.
The monument was built 1927-36 and was originally dedicated only to the German sailors who died during World War I. Later the killed German sailors of WW II had been added. Since 1954 it is dedicated to ALL who were killed on sea.
The monuments heigt is 85 meters. It has 341 steps to its look-out platform. There's a lift as well.
You have to pay an entrance fee to get access to the monument.
