Barokní pískovcový sloup s Pietou stojí od roku 1965 u kostela sv. Jiljí. Puvodne byl umísten na námestí u radnice. Zhotovit jej nechal jirkovský meštan Matej Seeman v roce 1695 na pamet prežitých hruz tricetileté války. Autorem díla je Jan Brokoff, který v letech 1687 a 1688 pusobil na zámku Cervený hrádek. Další jeho skvostné dílo, socha Jana Nepomuckého z roku 1708 stojí u reky Bíliny v Nábrežní ulici.

The Baroque sandstone column with Pieta has been standing since 1965 at the Church of St. Giles. It was originally located on the square near the town hall. It was made by Jirkov burger Matej Seeman in 1695 in memory of the survived horrors of the Thirty Years' War. The author of the work is Jan Brokoff, who worked in the castle Cervený hrádek between 1687 and 1688. Another of his magnificent works, the statue of Jan Nepomucký from 1708, stands on the Bílina River in Nábrežní Street.
