Easy off and on from I-70...From I-70 at the Lamine River, go west to the next exit (89), then take Route M east 3 miles to the area.

6 camp sites, free...often used by people traveling on Interstate 70, so about half full on week-ends.
Down side of campsites, is I-70 traffic noise...Large parking, and turning area for boat trailers...
Site mainly used by fishermen. Available here are Channel Catfish, Bluegill, Large Mouth Bass, and Flathead Catfish (often called locally Goushon, and called Bullhead Catfish in parts of the south)
Contrary to Wikipedia listing, this is in Cooper County, not Boone County
