The headstone which lies in the middle of the grave bears the name of four children that drowned during the 1893 flood. The four were trying to row to safety when the boat overturned, 17 year old Kate tried to support the other three younger children (Harry aged 8, Cissie 5 and Ada 3 ) but their weight was too much for her and consequently all four perished
