La gare de Forcalquier, est une gare ferroviaire française de la ligne de Forcalquier à Volx, située sur le territoire de la commune de Forcalquier dans les Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
Mise en service en 1890 par la Compagnie des chemins de fer de Paris à Lyon et à la Méditerranée (PLM), elle est fermée en 1934 aux voyageurs et en 1956 aux marchandises.
Le bâtiment voyageurs d'origine est toujours présent sur l'Avenue de l'Amiral Thierry d’Argenlieu construite sur la plateforme ferroviaire.

Histoire
Dans la deuxième moitié du xixe siècle, le Plan Freycinet prévoyait une liaison ferroviaire vers toutes les préfectures et sous-préfectures de France. La ligne de Lyon à Marseille par Grenoble et Sisteron, en cours d'achèvement, passait légèrement à l'est de Forcalquier, le long de la Durance. Il existait par ailleurs une ligne reliant Avignon à Apt par Cavaillon. Cette ligne fut donc prolongée vers l'est, mais, pour des raisons de terrain, elle ne monta pas à Forcalquier, mais resta dans la vallée de la Largue jusqu'à Volx, où elle se raccordait à la ligne de la Durance. Une antenne fut donc établie de la gare de Volx jusqu'à la ville de Forcalquier.
La déclaration publique de la ligne a lieu en 18811, la construction ne s'achève qu'au début du xxe siècle, l'ouverture ayant lieu le 25 octobre 1890.
En 1929, les trains les plus rapides mettaient 9 minutes pour relier Forcalquier à Mane (4 kilomètres environ), et 16 minutes pour parcourir le trajet de Forcalquier à Saint-Maime - Dauphin (7 kilomètres environ).
La ligne ferme au trafic des voyageurs, semble-t-il en 1934, fermeture rendue définitive le 2 octobre 1938.
Dès la fin des années 1930, la ligne est progressivement « coordonnée », c'est-à-dire limitée au trafic marchandises, puis fermée, d'abord entre Apt et Saint-Maime, puis entre Cavaillon et Apt, et enfin sur le tronçon restant. La dépose des rails intervient dans les années 1960.

Patrimoine ferroviaire
L'ancien bâtiment voyageurs, construit par le PLM en 1890, est racheté par la commune qui l'utilise pour plusieurs activités au fil du temps : locaux des services de l'Équipement, école de musique, dojo et aussi bureau de vote. Le viaduc et une partie du tracé de la ligne sont utilisés par la route départementale 4100.

Aujourd'hui
Le bâtiment existe toujours mais a eu d'autres activités au fil des ans pour devenir

• l'Ecole de Musique et de Danse de Forcalquier Lure
• le Dojo
• un bureau de vote

Forcalquier station is a French railway station on the Forcalquier to Volx line, located in the municipality of Forcalquier in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
Commissioned in 1890 by the Railway Company from Paris to Lyon and the Mediterranean (PLM), it was closed in 1934 to travelers and in 1956 to goods.
The original passenger building is still present on the Avenue de l'Amiral Thierry d'Argenlieu built on the railway platform.

History
In the second half of the 19th century, the Freycinet Plan provided for a rail link to all the prefectures and sub-prefectures of France. The line from Lyon to Marseille via Grenoble and Sisteron, nearing completion, passed slightly east of Forcalquier, along the Durance. There was also a line connecting Avignon to Apt via Cavaillon. This line was therefore extended to the east, but, for terrain reasons, it did not go up to Forcalquier, but remained in the Largue valley as far as Volx, where it connected to the Durance line. An antenna was therefore established from the Volx station to the town of Forcalquier.
The public declaration of the line took place in 18811, construction did not end until the beginning of the 20th century, the opening taking place on October 25, 1890.
In 1929, the fastest trains took 9 minutes to connect Forcalquier to Mane (about 4 kilometers), and 16 minutes to cover the route from Forcalquier to Saint-Maime - Dauphin (about 7 kilometers).
The line closed to passenger traffic, it seems in 1934, closure made final on October 2, 1938.
From the end of the 1930s, the line was gradually "coordinated", that is to say limited to freight traffic, then closed, first between Apt and Saint-Maime, then between Cavaillon and Apt, and finally on the remaining section. The rails were removed in the 1960s.

Railway heritage
The old passenger building, built by the PLM in 1890, is bought by the municipality which uses it for several activities over time: premises of the Equipment services, music school, dojo and also polling station. The viaduct and part of the route of the line are used by departmental road 4100.

The building still exists but has had other activities over the years to become
