The 16' tall aluminum structure was designed by Associate Professor Cakky Brawley to embody her understanding of what Palo Alto College represents: wisdom, creativity, determination and celebration. The design of the sculpture reflects imagery of the Botanical Garden - the spikes along the base of the sculpture incorporate the agave plant and similar landscape native to South Texas. Rotating LED lights illuminate the sculpture in the evening.
