This is a nicely built book exchange and well marked as a Free Little Library. The book box has a shelf for regular sized books, like textbooks or novels, and below the shelf is space for either periodicals, magazines, or slightly oversized books. The sponsors of this book exchange have places a small, child-friendly bench near the post holding the book unit.
This local community book exchange has all the markings of and registration number for a Little Free Library, so it must have been registered at some point. However, it does not currently show up on the FreeLittleLibrary.org map when city and state are entered nor when the charter number is entered, even though it is an actively used exchange point.
The concept of the Little Free Library is for people within a community to stop by the unit and examine the selection of books at that time. If you see a book you'd like to read, feel free to take it out and take it with you. If you have books at home that you have already read, you are encouraged to take these books to a Little Free Library and donate them into any little library's book selection. This concept is summarized as: Take A Book: Return a Book. Feel free to take a book you want to read, and feel free to return a book/add a book to this exchange unit or any others you know of.
