Le long du mur, l'eau est réservée à faire boire les hommes puis les animaux.
Ensuite, elle arrive au lavoir dans le petit bac pour rincer puis dans le grand pour laver.
Les femmes à genoux dans un bac spécial y savonnaient le linge et le battaient.
Nous sommes ainsi devant une simple fontaine et un lavoir dont la description au mur oublie juste de préciser que l'ensemble des deux bacs mesure 3 m de long environ et est couvert d'une toiture.
Un muret sépare la rue du lavoir, autant pour protéger les lavandières que pour déposer le linge quand il est lavé.
