The Linh Ung Pagoda at Monkey Hill is one of three major pagodas near the city of Da Nang in central Vietnam. (The naming system is a little confusing as each of these three temples shares the same name.) The Pagoda at Monkey Hill is famed for its tall statue of the Bodhisattva Guanyin.
At the road entrance to the Pagoda are these two lions. These are large lions, each three or so metres high, standing on a plinth. One holds a globe, the other baby lions.
This is a busy entrance, so take your waymark and move out expeditiously. There are also lots of other lions in the Pagoda complex.
