"The Anne Turner Memorial Allotments are located in the heart of the village on Church Road. The Turner family were the village's most famous Victorian family. Originally wealthy merchants from Liverpool the Turner family lived at Ferriby House (now North Ferriby Nursing Home) from 1824-1902. They owned considerable amounts of land in the village and their estate accounted for 3/4 of the village. Mrs Anne Turner died 10 August 1902.
The estate was sold off and the Allotments were presented to the Parish of North Ferriby by her nieces and nephews in a Declaration of Trust Deed in 1905. The Parish Council are the sole trustees of the land and it is registered with the Charity Commission under number 221998.
North Ferriby allotments are available to local residents of the village and surrounding villages.
We host the annual North Ferriby Open Gardens BBQ for The Friends of North Ferriby Primary School at the Allotments in July and organise other social events throughout the year for Allotment holders and their families.
A small annual subscription is payable; £10-£20 depending on size of plot."
