The Lenau Building is shown as 412 S. Main, however, the address on the building shows 414. This is a two-story red brick building in the Italianate Commercial style, which was constructed in 1903, only two yeas after the founding of the town. The building is currently vacant.
The storefront is in rather poor condition. The offset multi-paned wood entry door is flanked by wood-framed display windows. A wood door on the right leads to the second level. The storefront is located under a wood canopy, and the clerestory is covered with metal siding.
The upper floor has four single windows which are covered and have stone sills and arched tops. The upper wall has three brick-bordered panels and corbelling. The roof line has stone coping with a semi-circle at the center with a concrete name/date panel which reads "LENAU / 1903". The Downtown Historic District was placed on the Register in 2005 and this building is a Contributing property.
