Der Südpark ist eine Parkanlage in Marienburg im Süden Kölns. Eine Besonderheit des Parks sind zahlreiche, entlang der Wege verteilte Sitzbänke: Jede einzelne Bank ist von Anwohnern und Besuchern gestiftet worden. Als Dank konnten die Stifter jemanden benennen, dem "ihre" Bank gewidmet werden sollte und der auf einer Plakette an der Bank gewürdigt werden soll.

So sind aktuell etwa 20 Bänke im Park zu finden, die Familienangehörigen, Freunden oder Bekannten der Marienburger Anwohner gewidmet sind. Es handelt sich dabei um einfache Metallgitterbänke, die mit grünem Kunststoff überzogen sind. Oben links an der Rückenlehne ist die jeweilige Plakette befestigt.

Diese Bank steht im östlichen Teil des Parks. Karina Palm hat die Bank gestiftet und sie ihrem Enkel Benedikt Palm zu seinem ersten Geburtstag gewidmet.

Später hat Karina Palm noch eine zweite Bank gestiftet, die sie ihrem jüngeren Enkel Constantin zur Geburt gewidmet hat.
The Südpark is a park in Marienburg in the south of Cologne. A special feature of the park are numerous benches distributed along the paths: Every single bench has been donated by residents and visitors. As a thank you, the donators were able to name someone to whom "their" bench should be dedicated to and inscribed on a plaque at the bench.

There are currently around 20 benches in the park dedicated to family members, friends or acquaintances of the residents of Marienburg. These are simple metal grille benches covered with green plastic. The respective badge is attached to the top left of the backrest.

This bench is in the eastern part of the park. Karina Palm donated the bench and dedicated it to her grandson Benedikt Palm for his first birthday.

Karina Palm later donated a second bench, which she dedicated to her younger grandson Constantin for his birth.
