George Otten Park is located at 17161 NW Emerald Canyon Drive Beaverton, Oregon. There is no off-street parking but ample parking along NW Emerald Canyon Drive. The park is accessible from NW Laidlaw Road and NW Emerald Canyon Drive. The coordinates are set to the playground. This park is open dawn to dusk.
This is a medium sized playground, there is a complicated multi-purposed play structure for older children and small swings and other things for younger children. I noticed slides, bridges, swings, monkey bars and some other equipment that I could not identify. The playground has a wood chip surface and can be accessed from the walking path. There is very little shade for the playground.
From the park website: "George W. Otten Park is a one-acre park in the Sunset West neighborhood, at the intersection of NW Laidlaw Road and NW Emerald Canyon Drive. The park includes a basketball court, grassy lawn, picnic benches, and a covered picnic gazebo. The 2008 bond measure provided funds to install two new swing sets, one for young children next to the existing playground structure, and the other for older kids near the covered picnic gazebo."
