[EN] "With a height of 52 m (including statue), neo-Romanesque style, the church is built in two stages: the choir and the first 3 spans from 1877 (for 43,000 francs at the time), then the rest was built between 1895 and 1897.
The architect takes up a plan quite similar to that of the church of Chambretaud. He had the idea of ??making the bell tower, surmounted by the Archangel Saint Michael, accessible to visitors, by a staircase of 199 steps, very narrow.
The church was restored from 1990 to 1994.
The design and colors are created by Frédéric Naulin, master glassmaker at Les Sables d'Olonne. Its abstract form is called "the key to dreams". “We could see there, on one side, upper part, the Archangel, arm raised for the fight. The progression from the lightest to the darkest is a call to interiority for the reception of the Mystery. "
The altar and the ambon, made by Paul Bouffandeau, alternate oak and ash.
The stained glass windows of the choir show the Archangel Michael, near an Annunciation, the Apostles: Peter (keys) and Paul (sword), opposite, apparitions of Christ to Marguerite-Marie (Here is this heart ...) and to Catherine from Siena (exchange of hearts as part of her “mystical marriage with Christ”), on the front, in the background, Anne and Marie, central “drum”: Saint Anthony; baptism of Jesus.
