Cette église catholique romaine est située sur la rue Sainte-Claire dans l'arondissement de Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve à Montréal, Québec.
La paroisse Sainte-Louise-de-Marillac fut fondée le 10 mai 1951.
La construction de l’église et du presbytère fut confiée à l’architecte Henri Mercier, et à l’entrepreneur Arthur Fortin, de Drummondville.
Le cardinal Paul-Émile Léger, vint procéder à la bénédiction et à la pose de la pierre angulaire le 25 septembre 1954. La décoration intérieure s’est faite au cours de l’année 1957, avec les services de l’artiste peintre Alphonse Lespérance. La toile représentant Sainte-Louise-de-Marillac et Saint-Vincent-de-Paul fut installée sur le mur avant de l’église, au-dessus du maître-autel.
Il est bâtie dans le style fonctionnel.
L'église Sainte-Louise-de-Marillac sert également de lieu de culte à la communaté catholique irlandaise anglophone (St. Aloysius Parish).
Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve est un arrondissement de la ville de Montréal. Il est d'une superficie de 24,5 km2 et a une population de 136 024 habitants (en 2016).

This Roman Catholic church is located on Sainte-Claire Street in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough in Montreal, Quebec.
The parish of Sainte-Louise-de-Marillac was founded on May 10, 1951.
The construction of the church and the presbytery was entrusted to the architect Henri Mercier, and to the entrepreneur Arthur Fortin, of Drummondville.
Cardinal Paul-Émile Léger, came to bless and lay the cornerstone on September 25, 1954. The interior decoration was done in 1957, with the services of the painter Alphonse Lespérance . The canvas representing Sainte-Louise-de-Marillac and Saint-Vincent-de-Paul was installed on the front wall of the church, above the high altar.
It is built in the functional style.
