Proper Description: "An angel with a large set of wings stands draped in a full-length, gown, with toes visible beneath the hem. The angel's proper left arm extends slightly away from her body, the palm of the hand facing out. In her proper right hand she holds a small trumpet to her chest. The angel looks toward heaven. The sculpture is mounted upon a tall base within a fenced cemetery plot" ~ Smithsonian American Art Museum

Remarks: "The sculpture marks the graves of Bettie A. Hill (Elizabeth A. Hill) (1833-1869), and her husband, William E. Hill (1823-1912). Mr. Hill founded the Bank of Keytesville in 1872" ~ Smithsonian American Art Museum
