The church has a very active
Facebook page, but neither it nor the official church website provide much in the way of history beyond noting that the church was established in 1880. Slidell itself was still "Hackberry Grove" at that point, and businesses and a post office wouldn't arrive until 1884. The church sanctuary is most certainly modern.
