"Built between 1661 and 1664 to be the place of worship of the Dominican Convent of Dinan, the Sainte-Catherine chapel has a Baroque facade, characterized in particular by Tuscan columns and the presence of scrolls.

The stylistic choice is no coincidence because it characterizes the architecture of the Counter-Reformation which then triumphs in Dinan.

Confiscated during the Revolution, the chapel became, from 1817, the chapel of the General Hospital of Dinan.

The statuary, present on the facade, testifies to this fact since it represents two hospital saints: Saint-Vincent de Paul and Saint-Thomas de Villeneuve, founder of the female order who was precisely responsible for the Dinan hospital. "
