This memorial is located on the grounds of the Kiowa County Courthouse.

At the southwest corner of the Kiowa County Courthouse, two metal benches and a light post stand on a concrete slab. We were unable to positively identify Louise Shook, but we believe her to be Mary Louise Shook, born 1929, died 2002, who is buried in nearby Hobart Rose Cemetery. A granite marker beneath the light post reads:
