CZ: Malír Josef Navrátil (17. února 1798 Slaný – 21. dubna 1865 Praha) má v dejinách ceského výtvarného umení své zvláštní místo. Predstavuje umelce, který stál na rozhraní dvou umeleckých svetu. Byl v Cechách asi prvním umelcem, který dosáhl uvolneného malírského výrazu, který byl blízký francouzským realistum. Také tematicky se zabýval každodenností a žánrovými námety. Byla ale také mistrným krajinárem, kde pracoval malírsky konzervativneji a velkým citem pro detail.
