TH 89 USE (AG0988) is located at the end of the seawall, SE of the 1000' Gulf Pier and close to the "ruins" of the historic Fort De Soto.
There is a $5 fee to enter the park and at least $1.75 in tolls required to reach the park. Enter the park and find the large parking lot for the old Fort De Soto and the 1000' Gulf Pier. Walk south and east along the seawall until it comes to an end. The survey disk is flush in the sidewalk near the end of the seawall.
This one is listed on geocaching.com (
visit link) although the coordinates are off by 140m (474'). The current datasheet on the NGS website (
visit link) lists updated coordinates "N 27° 36 41.33 W 082° 44 06.04" which is within 2m (8') of what I recorded with my phone. Too bad the geocaching.com listings are never refreshed.
