Les premiers plans du nouvel édifice sont établis la même année par Arthur Regnault et sa construction débute en 1893 au centre du bourg, tout près de l'ancien bâtiment qui sera conservé le temps des travaux puis démoli.
Le nouveau sanctuaire est béni le 14 décembre 1899. Les travaux sont achevés en 1901.
De style romano-byzantin, ce monument aux nombreux espaces, se distingue par ses toitures de diverses formes. Tourelles, coupole et nef octogonales, clocher ou encore choeur semi-circulaire, font de cet édifice un chef-d'oeuvre d'architecture. En 2007, une partie des vitraux ont été remis en état. "
