En 1811, onze tanneries se tenaient sur le bord de cette rivière. Cette visite de la dernière tannerie de la Vienne en activité amène le visiteur à la rencontre d’un savoir-faire ancestral, rythmé de bruits et d’odeurs indéfinissables. Dans une atmosphère pittoresque, le tanneur qui travaille devant le spectateur, utilise, aujourd’hui encore, un circuit de fabrication artisanal avec des cuves et des tonneaux vieux de près d’un siècle.
