[EN] "At the whim of the Boivre, Lavausseau shares the passion that has driven it for centuries: the transformation of a skin into a noble material. In 1811, eleven tanneries stood on the edge of this river. This visit to the last tannery of active Vienne brings visitors to meet ancestral know-how, punctuated by noises and indefinable smells. In a picturesque atmosphere, the tanner who works in front of the spectator still uses a circuit today handcrafted with almost a century old vats and barrels.
