The stained white marble memorial with a broken Doric column stands on a square sandstone base at the western end of a tiled grave in the Gloucester General Cemetery. The similar lead lettering on the lower seems to be a later addition to Henry Germon's inscription (who had died in 1929; but had also served in the A.I.F.), and is for Private George T. Germon, and reads:
also Pte. George T. Germon
Killed in Action Flamelles, France
July 31, 1916,
Aged 26 years.
Duty Nobly Done.
