This Georgian inspired Terrace House was named
after the 15th Marquess of Lansdowne, who became
the Governor General in 1883. The terrace is typical of
speculative residential construction of its time, and is
evidence of the transformation of New Edinburg from a
mill village to an upper middle-class enclave.
