Nakasong is the mainland ferry point for the Mekong River crossing to the tourist destination of the 4,000 Islands. The bus station for the town is located a little to the east of the River and on the road leading into the town.
The station itself consists of an unpaved bus parking area with a ticket office that doubles as a money changer. Most bookings are made at the small tourist agencies closer to the River. Bus arrival and departure times vary. Most people wait in the tourist agencies or small restaurants and then walk to this station when their bus arrives. Some buses travel directly to the agencies.
