"Superb Renaissance timber-framed house, the Kératry hotel, two carved cartridges of which indicate 1559 as the date of construction, is a building also remarkable for its Ionic columns and the quality of its carved decor (fourteen characters, however, weapons and the characteristic clothing of the XVI century) only for the history of its transfer.
Indeed, until 1935, this house was in the town of Lanvollon, 80 km from Dinan. Pretexting a minor fire, it was decided to dismantle it.
Upon hearing the news, the elected officials of Dinan, already very aware of the protection of heritage in a wooden frame, decided to buy the different elements and have the Kératry hotel in Dinan rebuilt, in the already very touristy rue de l'Horloge.
Entrusted to the architect Lucien Prieur, the project began in 1938 and ended in the spring of 1939. "

"Superbe maison en pan de bois de la Renaissance, l'hôtel Kératry, dont deux cartouches sculptés indiquent 1559 comme date de construction, est un bâtiment aussi remarquable pour ses colonnes ioniques et la qualité de son décor sculpté (quatorze personnages pourtant les armes et les vêtements cararactéristiques du XVI ème siècle) que pour l'histoire de son transfert.
En effet, jusqu'en 1935, cette maison se trouvait dans la commune de Lanvollon, à 80 km de Dinan. Prétextant un incendie mineur, il est décidé de la démonter.
Apprenant la nouvelle, les élus de Dinan, déjà très sensibilisés à la protection du patrimoine en pan de bois, décident de racheter les différents éléments et de faire reconstruire l'hôtel Kératry à Dinan, dans la déjà très touristique rue de l'Horloge.
Confié à l'architecte Lucien Prieur, le projet débute en 1938 pour s'achever au printemps de l'année 1939. "
