Some might ask how come a small village like Amieira do Tejo has a tourist information center. Well, there is some historical significance in the village after all. In the medieval ages it was part of the domains of the Malta Knights in Portugal and there is a nice castle, actually across the street from the center.
Also, there are a few churches and some old residential historical homes. And the hiking trail, which has its trailhead also in the square.
It's open from Wednesday to Sunday but it might be closed even in opening times.
