Cette tendance néo-gothique est absente à l’extérieur de l’église Notre-Dame-du-Foyer de Montréal, mais présente à l’intérieur, pour répondre à une volonté de continuité par rapport à un style ancien; cette église a relevé son pari en utilisant de la pierre pour les murs extérieurs.

This Roman Catholic church is located at the corner of 40e Avenue and avenue de Bellechasse in Rosemont - Petite Patrie, one of the boroughs in Montreal, Quebec.
The parish of Notre-Dame du Foyer was founded in 1944.
The church was built between 1950 and 1953, according to the plans of the architects Donat-Arthur Gascon and Louis Parent.
In terms of architectural style, it is of a stylized neo-Gothic tendency, both outside and inside; the plan is however neither rectangular nor in Latin cross, but polygonal with eight sides. This neo-Gothic trend is absent outside the Notre-Dame-du-Foyer church in Montreal, but present inside, to respond to a desire for continuity compared to an old style; this church raised its bet by using stone for the exterior walls.
