FR Devant le château d'Entrecastreaux, on peut voir ce jardin à la française dessiné par le célèbre jardinier Le Nôtre, au XVIIe siècle.
Les haies sont bien droites et amènent à une fontaine surmontée d'une astrolabe. Cet élément, inhabituel dans un jardin est justifié par le fait que l'amiral Antoine Bruny Entrecastreaux, ancien propriétaire du château, était un explorateur, un navigateur parti autrefois à la recherche d'un autre navigateur (La Pérouse) et périt en mer en août 1793.



EN In front of the castle of Entrecastreaux, you can see this French-style garden designed by the famous gardener Le Nôtre in the 17th century.
The hedges are straight and lead to a fountain topped by an astrolabe. This element, unusual in a garden, is justified by the fact that Admiral Antoine Bruny Bruny Entrecastreaux, former owner of the castle, was an explorer, a navigator who had gone in search of another navigator (La Pérouse) and died at sea in August 1793.
