The frieze is the work of Leon Hermant.

Designed in the Beaux Arts Style, this building was once home to the Illinois Athletic Club. It is now home to offices of the School Of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Source is the book “Central Michigan Avenue” by Ellen Christensen.
