The Roça de Belo Monte was once a plantation. With the independence of the country the company collapsed and the buildings slowly turned to ruins. In the past there was an attempt to renovate them and make here a hotel. It fail. But more recently a second attempt was successful and on the place now exists a luxury hotel.
It's on its grounds that this seat can be found and tried. It's made of a huge chunk of a tree, adapted and carved to be used as a seat. It's placed in the center of the main yard of the old plantation headquarters.
Although it's part of the hotel access is free to anyone willing to visit.
