These four murals decorate the exterior of a local K-8 school in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago. The two very similar murals of crops with pagodas are on the south-facing wall. The mural of the sun is above an entrance on the east-facing wall while the moon is above the entrance on the west-facing wall. They appear to be made of tile.
I found the following description on a local website:
“This project includes four murals done as a collective project by Murray students under direction of noted artist. The murals were stored for two years at Regents Park. The murals depict the peoples, crops, architecture, and lands (including parts of North America) of the languages studied at Murray (including Spanish and Japanese), and depict the sun on the east-facing mural and the stars and moon on the west-facing side.”
