Built in 1880 the building served the local community for over 100 years until the Post Shop opened closer to the business centre of town in 1989.The building was one of the first 'grand' buildings erected in Parkes and the facade features an arched entry and four arched windows on the ground floor and a verandah on the second storey (the Post-master's residence)
