Sandhill is one of 40 nine hole executive golf courses in The Villages, Florida. It is a par 28 course with yardage of 998 to 1657 depending on the player's choice of tee. Each hole is a par three with the exception of number five, which is a par four. Golf the Villages lists this as a
playablity rating of 2 on a 1 to 4 scale. ("1" is friendliest; "4" is most challenging.)
If you prefer your golf courses flat, Sandhill may not be your first choice - although it is a very fair test of golf ability for players of all levels. As is true on a few other courses on the Executive Golf Trail, Sandhill starts easier than it finishes. Which is to say, bank your birdies early in your round because they won't come easy later on. The hole many people talk about at Sandhill is number three, a par three that requires a carry over water no matter which tee box you play from (103 yards from the front tees, 184 yards from the back tees ... )

Greens fees are free for residents; guest rates are $7.00 from May through October and $11 from November through April. Golf car trail fee is $4.00 per person. Club rentals are $12.50 and $25.00 for 9 and 18 holes respectively. Tee times begin close to sunrise and end about 30 minutes before sunset, which varies from 5:00PM to 7:00PM seasonally. A few minute's drive from Florida's Turnpike Exit 304, the course is immediately north of SR 466A, between the towns of Wildwood to the west and Fruitland Park to the east.
